Margot de Taxco "Leaf Shell" Necklace and Earrings 5611 Archaeological revival and amethystThis marvelous necklace and earrings by Margot de Taxco has a mosaic like pattern of two shades of turquoise enamel leaves anchored to a spiral of black enamel. The original drawing by Margot of this design can be seen on page 176 of the monograph Margot Van Voorhies, The Art of Mexican Enamelwork. Margot van Voorhies Carr (? 1985), known as Margot de Taxco, was a pioneering woman jewelry designer who introduced the use of enamel into Mexican jewelry.
